Source: 3news. com - The Upper East Region recorded the highest open defecation in Ghana with a percentage of 74.7 according to the Demographic Health Survey (DHS) of 2014. 

This was revealed in Bolgatanga at the commemoration of the 2016 World Toilet Day with the theme: “Stop open defecation, own a household toilet now”.

The first of a new series of post-2015 reports, says 53 per cent of students in Ghana are able to complete Junior High School (JHS) education, while only 39 per cent are able to complete Senior High School (SHS) education.
