Invitation to our Tenth Anniversary Fund-raising Dinner Dance
I write on behalf of the Executive and members of Bonaboto London to cordially
invite you to the tenth anniversary fund raising dinner dance celebration of
BONABOTO with our distinguish guest of honour Mr. Annan Cato, the High
Commissioner to the UK on Saturday 12th July 2008, to be held at The River of Life
Centre from 7 p.m. to 4.00 a.m.

As you may be aware, Bonaboto London is an affiliate community organisation of
Bonaboto Ghana, a union of citizens from the Bolgatanga, Talensi-Nabdam and
Bongo districts of the Upper East Region of Ghana. The name is an acronym that
stands for Bolgatanga, Nangodi, Bongo and Tongo; the four major towns in the
three Frafra districts. Our aim is to bring together citizens of the three districts to
unite and to support themselves, as well as to contribute to the general
development in these three districts and Ghana as a whole. As a community based
union, Bonaboto London is a non political organisation that is opened to all who
share in our aims and objectives.
The Frafra community, and by extension the Northern Ghanaian community in
general, is a silent community within the wider Ghanaian community in the UK. By
celebrating our tenth anniversary, we aim to showcase our existence and our
achievements and to bring us into the frame of activities within the Ghanaian and
host communities.
The presence of all members on the night will go a long way in helping to achieve
the aims of BONABOTO and also boost the fund raising efforts. Please find
enclosed a leaflet highlighting the event. Tickets are currently on sale and the
contact persons are listed on the leaflet. Members’ children under 18 years will be
permitted in free.
We look forward welcoming you and your families both far and near to our
celebration.
