TaDa..TaDa.. -  Last STOP Tain...! Fasten Seat Belt...,please! (GhanaWeb-News.com, 20.12.2008)

Ghanaweb-News like to say a big THANK YOU, to all WRITERS!

..don't forget keep to your promises..

We Ghanaians thank the almighty God for giving us a new president with new ideas to help develope the country, it will always be my prayer that the good Lord will give u the needed strength and courage in exibiting your duties to yield a good result for the betterment of the country as a whole. My piece of advice to u is that, always let God guide in ur decision making and also becareful of the people around u becos the junior Jesus in Ghanaian History has now become the main devil of the country. Treate the outgone presidents with due respect that they deserve. But don't forget keep to your promises becos Ghanaians are watching u.

Hipocrite commentators

Hipocrite commentators, you preach peace but are fuelling riots. you call yourselves peace loving ghanaians but dont practice it leave nana alone not all of us will belong to a particular political party. if it were to be so, only one party would have exist

Vera Abban  (05.01.2009)

I  congratulate both candidates

I write to congratulate both candidates, NPP (Akuffo Addo) and NDC (Attah Mills) for competing in the finals and coming to terms by both accepting the results announced by Ghana's INEC.

Even though in the eyes of the public, it appears, INEC did a good job, yet, by standards, it failed miserably in most cases, that nearly sent the country into war. There are so many lessons that we have to learn from this very elections, that will ultimately guide us into any future ones.

Security in most constituencies must be beefed up in future elections, and the fact that expecially the Tain   consituency was left out during the Dec 28 elections, would have also created a very big problem by disenfranchising  our own Ghanaians on their own their own soil.

Whatever the situation was in the first instance, it could have been resolved and immediately reinstate their rights to vote.

That problem was neither caused by NPP nor NDC but by the government.
Claims and counter claims of Bantama, Nhyeso, Manhyia and those ones in the Volta, could also have been thrashed out sooner than before.

The INEC suppose to be a neutral body with respect, intergrity and the authority to conduct such elections, so therefore it must iron out such problems, correct them now and set out some sort of modalities for future elections before it is too late.

Thank God, we have averted a choatic situation and hope we do not return to same level in the near future.

Long Live Ghana.

ALLEDGED ASSAULT AND EVENTUAL DEATH OF SOME NPP POLLING AGENTS

IN EVERY ELECTORAL COMPETITION,THE END RESULT IS WIN OR LOSE. AND AFTER THE COMPETITION, IT"S NOT PARTY "A" OR PARTY "B" BUT THE WHOLE NATION. I AM THEREFORE APPEALING TO PREZ- ELECT PROF. 3RD JOHN E. ATTAH-MILLS AS HE HAS PROMISED TO BE THE FATHER OF ALL GHANAIANS,TO INVESTIGATE THOROUGHLY, THE ALLEDGED ASSAULT AND EVENTUAL DEATH OF SOME NPP POLLING AGENTS IN THE VOLTA REGION. FAILURE TO DO SO WOULD SET A VERY BAD PRECEDENT FOR FUTURE ELECTIONS.THERE SHOULDN"T BE ANY "NO-GO" AREA IN GHANA.

GHANAIANS CAN REMOVE NON PERFORMING GOVERNMENTS FROM POWER

NANA AKUFFO ADDO, DONT WORRY JUST CONCEED DEFEAT AND PRAY THAT NDC FAILS TO PERFORM SO WE CAN REMOVE THEM AGAIN BUT LET THIS BE A LESSON FOR YOU THAT GHANAIANS HAVE COME OF AGE AND CAN REMOVE NON PERFORMING GOVERNMENTS FROM POWER.

TAKE IT THAT YOU ARE MOSES AND HAVE CANAN BUT CANT REACH THERE AND GIVE WHAT IS FOR CESAR TO HIM.

Shame!!!

After the election in 2000, Jerry  Rawlings handed over to Kufuor without a fuss. Now to the 2008 election - the NPP is making such a big deal of their electoral defeat. Shame!!!
