President John Dramani Mahama on Friday December 30, 2016 commissioned the new head office of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences Auditorium and Secretariat in Accra.
The huge edifice will become the biggest of that kind in Africa. It is funded by Ghana Education Trust Fund (Short: GetFund) will serve as campus for the academy.
It comprises a secretariat, library, conference rooms and an auditorium.
The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) is a public trust set up by an Act of Parliament in the year 2000, under NDC government. Its core mandate is to provide funding to supplement government effort for the provision of educational infrastructure and facilities within the public sector from the pre-tertiary to the tertiary level.
